Richmond seeks to lease Monroe Park

Todd Woodson, the treasurer of the Oregon Hill Neighborhood Association, called it a “terrible idea,” pointing to the park’s history as a key site for political rallies and musical performances.

“All that’s out the window if it’s privatized,” Woodson said. “And make no mistake, this is about privatization.”
